President’s Medal for Technology 2008
Islamabad, August 20, 2008.

The President on the occasion of Independence Day, August, 14, 2008, has been pleased to confer the President’s Medal for Technology on the following five (05) Scientists/ Engineers/ Technologists for the year 2008 in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the field of Science & Technology. The award consists of a gold medal, a certificate and a cash award of Rs. 100,000/-

.i) Mr. Muhammad Akhtar, Principal Scientist, PINSTECH, PAEC, Islamabad.
.ii) Professor, Dr. Khan Bahadur Marwat, Dean, NWFP Agriculture University, Peshawar.
.iii) .Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Chairman, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
.iv) .Prof. Dr. Ahmad Mukhtar Khalid, Chairman, Department of Chemistry, Government College University, Faisalabad.
.v) .Prof. Dr. Akhtar Mohammad Kassi, Department of Geology, University of Balochistan, Quetta.

The awards will be given by the Minister for Science and Technology on behalf of the President in a special investiture ceremony to be held in near future.
