About College: |
The University of Agriculture Public School was established in 1996, to meet the ever increasing needs of children education of Agricultural University employees in particular and the adjoining areas in general. Initially the school was started in a residence on the Campus concentrating on primary classes both for boys and girls.
The Girls Section was extended, improved and up-graded to Higher Secondary School in 2002. Four laboratories, one each for Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer Sciences have been established. By the grace of Almighty Allah, The University of Agriculture Public School & College for Girls has emerged within a short period of time as a very good educational Institution and has attained a standard of excellence.
Academic performance of the past four years of the School/College has brought the students and the teachers much pride and hopes to achieve greater heights of achievements in the years to come. In SSC Annual Exams 2007 the school has shown 100% result. All the students passed the exam in first division.
The introduction of F.A./F.Sc. classes has given this institution a further boost, making its presence felt more strongly in the competitive environment of the University. We are very confident that the professional guidance and exemplary devotion of the management and teaching staff will bring this institution the fame and glory it deserves in the coming years.
The School & College aims to provide sound educational foundation to its students. Efforts are also being made to develop the basic elements of character in students and mould them into responsible, honest, and disciplined individuals enabling them to take up their assigned responsibilities in the society.

Rules For Admission To F.A./F.Sc.: |
- Application for admission to F.A/F.Sc. 1st year will be entertained either within ten days
after the announcement of result by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar, or the date fixed by the College administration.
- Only those candidates are eligible for admission who have passed the last annual
examination of a Board.
- The application for admission to F.A./F.Sc. 1st year class must be supported by the following
attested documents:
(i) Three latest passport size photographs of the applicant.
(ii) Detailed Marks Certificate of S.S.c.
(iii) A character certificate from the institution last attended.
(iv) Original migration certificate from the Board under which the applicant
appeared for the matriculation (S.S.C) Examination, if other than Peshawar Board.
(v) A photocopy of Domicile Certificate.
(vi) National Identity Card of the Father/Guardian.
- Admission will be strictly on merit basis.
- Application received after the last date for admission will not be entertained.
- If the candidate fails to submit dues within the stipulated period, her admission will stand
cancelled.
- The admission shall be cancelled if the documents attached are found to be forged or
tampered with. The Principal reserves the right of reporting such a case to the Police.

Rules Concerning Fees & Other Dues of F.A/F.Sc. |
Fee is payable for twelve months of the year by all the students. Tuition fee is payable from July to June. fee and other dues must be submitted by the 10th of every month. Non-payment of dues after the due date will result in the automatic imposition of a fine of Rs. 5/- per day.
For re-admission Rs. 200/- admission fee. plus other dues with fine are to be paid. Each student is provided with a Dues Card. where all the dues paid are to be entered. If the card is lost. a duplicate card will be issued on payment of Rs. 20/-
If a student. who has been enrolled and paid fee for the first term, drops out before attending classes, her case for refund will be treated according to the University notification. |

Classes & Attendance: |
Students are given three weeks to make up their mind about the subjects to be taken. After final decision is made, no student will be allowed to change her subject unless permission is obtained from the Principal or advised by the staff concerned.
Only those students will be eligible for F.A/F.Sc. Examination, who have attended not less than 75% classes in eqch subject. Attendance in practical classes must be 80%.
In case of unavoidable absence on medical grounds, leave application must include medical certificate. A letter signed by the parent/guardian should be sent in case of absence other than sick leave.
A warning letter will be sent to the parents in case of absence of their daughter for more than three days in a month.
If a student remains absent for more than one week without informing the office, her name will automatically be struck off the College rolls.
A student's name may be struck off the rolls on the grounds of shortage of attendance, lack of interest in studies or indiscipline.
It is the responsibility of a student's parent/guardian to keep in touch with the College office to ascertain that their daughter is attending classes regularly and maintaining the required progress in her studies.
Parents must inform the office in writing if they wish to withdraw the name of their daughter from the College. A student will not be allowed to leave the college until she clears the college dues. |
Examinations & Tests: |
- College examinations are held in January & March Regular monthly tests are also given.
- Students must appear for all College examinations and tests. Those who fail in two or more
than two subjects in send up examination or in two consecutive monthly tests will be asked to leave the college.
- Twenty percent (20%) marks from the monthly tests will be counted in promotion/send up
examination.

Leave Rules: |
- A written application should be sent to the Principal by the student or his!her parent/guardian well in time, reporting his/her illness or cause of absence.
- Sick leave for more than 3 days will be sanctioned only on producing a valid Medical Certificate.
- Any kind of leave other than sick leave, exceeding three days, shall be granted when the
application is attested by the parent/guardian.
- All kinds of leaves upto two days may be granted by the tutor concerned; and beyond two days by the Principal.
- In all kinds of leaves, except sick leave and in case of demise of a near relative; the student should proceed on leave when the leave has been sanctioned, otherwise he/she will be treated as absent.
- In all cases leave taken will be at student's own risk so far as percentage of attendance is concerned. A Medical Certificate shall not condone a shortage in attendance.

Payment Rules: |
1.
Fee is payable for 12 months of the year in advance, latest by the 10th of every month.
2. Fee for July and August is payable with the fee of May and June respectively.Refund cases will be treated as per A.V.P. Notification. |
Fee Concession: |
If more than one brother/sister is enrolled, the younger brother or sister will get half fee concession. The concession granted shall mean tuition fee only. |
Examinations/Tests: |
The school adopts the method of tests/examination as under:
-
a. Monthly classroom test.
b. 1st terminal examination after Summer Vacations.
c. 2nd terminal examination before winter recess.
d. Annual examination at the end of March.

Students absent from the examination / monthly test will be considered as failed and students absent from any examination / monthly test will not be re-examined.
- The marks obtained in the terminal examination will be taken into consideration for promotion in case of absence from the annual examination due to the reasons beyond a student's control.
- All matters regarding promotion are entirely at the discretion of the Principal and her decision shall be final
- 40% in each subject and 50% in aggregate shall entitle a student for promotion to the next class.
- The subsidy extended to the University Employees' children will be withdrawn if he/she fails in the examination.
- Name of a student who fails for two consecutive years in the same class will be struck offthe school rolls.
- Student who fails in one subject in Annual Examination will be conditionally promoted to the next higher class. If he/she fails the same subject again in the class to which he/she was conditionally promoted, will be retained in the same class.
- Students who have scored 60% marks in aggregate shall be allowed admission in science group in class 8th. The same will be applied to those applying for admission to class 8th from outside. Therefore, those applying for admission must provide result card of annual examination.
- The progress record of students will be maintained in school and may be supplied to parent/guardian on demand.

Medical facilities: |
- The school has first aid facilities. In case of serious illness or accidental injuries. students are taken to the Agricultural University Health Centre/Khyber Teaching Hospital.
- Students suffering from contagious or infectious diseases are not permitted to attend the school.
- An Ambulance facility is available on the premises for emergency cases.

The School has spacious playgrounds. Students are provided with all the recreational facilities. |

The School has a well-furnished Library consisting of about 2000 books, magazines and periodicals etc. |
