The Department of Livestock Management has been engaged in supporting the livestock sector through training, research and technology transfer to various groups of the stakeholders. Improved technologies are identified and developed for transfer to the industry. Department staff has been involved directly and indirectly in over 30 training courses for extension workers, and progressive farmers.
Presently the Livestock Management department is covering the four main subsections of animal production
1. Dairy Sciences
2. Meat Sciences
3. Animal Products Technologies
4. Animal care, management & welfare
