Directorate of Teaching
The Directorate of Teaching performs a variety of duties. Some of the most important duties amongst them are listed as under:-
Conducting students’ admissions to the various degree programmes offered by the University. Updating and designing of Prospectus (Student Handbooks).
Drafting rules & regulations pertaining to academics.
Drafting the academic calendar and its implementation.
Convening academic council meetings and implementation of its decisions.
Conducting the Deans’ and the Chairmen committee meetings, recording decisions and enforcing implementation.
Designing scheme of study for all degree programmes offered by NWFP Agricultural University, processing and implementation.
Establishing and maintaining academic linkages with national and international organizations.
Establishing linkage and keeping liaison with national and international organization for students scholarships/Stipends & jobs.
Supervising all academic facilities and maintaining them properly for the use of students.
Acting as incharge students’ affairs in the University.
Arranging and supervising student study tours.
Students counseling and providing guidance to male and female students in academics, social and personal problems.
Supervising Eleven affiliated Institutes located in various parts of NWFP and Federal Areas inorder to maintain academic order and uniformity.
Arranging students’ co-curricular activities.
Coordinating the academic activities of all Faculties, Departments and Institutes in the University inorder to maintain quality.
Holding Convocations on annual basis.
Advisory service to the Board of Studies & the Board of Faculties
Assisting the Vice Chancellor in various academic and admission relative issues as and when needed.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Director Teaching additionally performs the following duties under the recently established Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). This cell will assure the following responsibility:

1) To make correspondence with the outside bodies.
2) To promote public confidence in the quality of education and standards of the degree .
3) To review and maintain quality standards by promoting academic standards and quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.
4) To review academic affiliation with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of programs.
5) To devise and define clear and explicit standards as points of reference to reviewers.
6) To develop qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e. Bachelors, Bachelor with Honors, Masters M.Phil and Ph.D.
7) To develop program specifications and define, skills and other attributes a student will develop on successfully completion of a specific program.
8) To foster curriculum, subject and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities.
9) To ensure that the university’s quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place nationally and internationally for maintaining and improving the quality of Higher Education.
10) To develop assessment procedures for the following:
Approval of new programs
Annual monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, faculty
monitoring, and student’s perception.

Student feedback
Employer feedback
Subject review
Institutional audit
Program specifications
Qualification framework
