Education in business, management sciences, commerce, computer sciences and Information Technology (IT) has now established its due importance throughout the country, in general and in NWFP, in particular. It has been realized that there exists wide gap between the availability of skilled manpower and the number of quality business, management, commerce, computer and IT institutes in the province. To fill this gap, the Institute of Business and Management Sciences (I.B.M.S) has been established on the campus of the NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar with the following objectives:

	To provide quality education in business and management sciences, IT and computer sciences to create awareness among the talented youth on these subjects.
	To inculcate skills of leadership among the youths, so that they could initiate their own business ventures.
	To produce a high caliber resource-base to meet the challenges of the new world.

The NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar (AUP) is a full-fledged recognized University of Pakistan and imparts instructions from B.Sc Agriculture to Ph.D. level in various fields. The University has all the components to facilities quality education in emerging sciences. These facilities include classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, computer laboratories, library, auditorium, canteen, playgrounds, post office, bank etc
